The Royal Oak  

A beautiful country pub, the Royal Oak is a gastro, food orientated, pub.

It serves two ales from a local brewery.

As this is a country pub, there is an emphasis on the traditional ambience internally. There are two real fires for winter to warm yourself by. The old oak beams have been retained and these are matched by oak tables and old leather chairs. There are also three private dining rooms catering for up to 40 guests. At the rear is a garden where you can also eat; furniture here is wicker. The beer garden is walled.

As this is a gastro pub prices are at the top end and there is little selection for vegetarians, though if you ask they will offer something specially.

Boules is played here. There is also a fortnightly pub quiz.
