The Cardinals Hat  

The first reference to the Cardinals Hat was in 1497 when it was designated as one of the depots for the city’s fire hooks.

It has three wood panelled rooms, two of which have open fireplaces, and a front to back corridor that leads to an enclosed outdoor drinking area.

There are six guest ales served here plus real cider and a broad range of bottled beers.

Food is served here throughout the day.

There is occasional live music.
