Coach and Horses

This is a very good country pub on the outskirts of Birmingham to its south east. It can be hard to find, so get a map.

The pub is quite big and busy at weekends with people stopping in from the motorway which is not far away.

This free house has been in the same family's hands for 50 years or more and they now brew at a separate site (Weatheroak Hill Brew).

The bar has a quarry tiled floor and a real fire for winter. It is rather functional, but welcoming. The more luxurious lounge is up steps, though can be accessed on the flat and so disabled access is possible.

Children are welcome in the garden and if eating.

You can also camp here if you wish. Food is served lunch and evenings, but can get busy, especially on Sunday's.

The beers from their own brewery are always in tip top condition served from the cask. Well worth coming off the motorway for.

Food is served here now, with Sunday lunch until 4pm.

No accommodation here.

Former Roman road, Icknield Street, is nearby.
