The Cross Keys

A lovely traditional pub, unspoiled by modern over-development. Built in the mid 1700s, Grade II listed, however completely unpretentious. Four traditional cosy pub rooms are available inlcuding a darts room and lounge. For the summer there is a large beer garden atop Saxon embankments. Brakspears real ales and a good selection of lagers and ciders. Home-cooked food and a roaring log fire in the winter.

Regular music sessions are held here or you can play traditional pub games.

Traditional pub food is served here and is excellent value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is served 12-2.30pm and 6-9pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday roast is served 12-4pm.

While access for the disabled is not easy, the staff will help when asked.
