The Bulls Head

This is a quaint little county/village pub with rustic charm and low beamed ceilings in both the lounge and saloon bars. The public bar has a dart board and the main corner bar which is next to the real fire. The floor is stone flagged in part and there is a dartboard here for the local teams (in winter karaoke occurs here too). Seating is one long bench with short round tables and stools, although there are a couple of tables with chairs. The lounge bar seems to be given over to eating as a cordoned area is usually set for meals. There is a smaller bar here, but it feels isolated. No real fire either but note the low beamed ceiling and deep carpet. The toilets are in the corridor leading to the car park at the rear and are very cold in winter! The beers on are Flowers IPA and Wadworth's 6X. Both served with the sparkler, though still tasty for it. Food is served lunch and evenings and is traditional fayre with a few specialties thrown in. Prices can look a little steep, but try the food first. For the summer there is a beer garden and children are allowed in until 9pm if well behaved.
