The Steam Trumpet

The Steam Trumpet located in Thornton near to the famous trout fishing reservoir and just 3 miles from Junction 22 of the M1 so takes it's name from a steam locomotive accident that occurred in thornton in 1833.

The Trumpet has 8 handpulled real ales, a fine selection of continental lagers and some wonderful wines to accompany the fantastic home cooked dishes available, served 7 days and nights a week.

With a great old fashioned locals bar and a contemporary twist lounge area. The Trumpet is ideal for a quality ale and wine with friends by the old fashioned range or a family meal in the lounge area.

Spacious al fresco dining on the patio in the summer after a walk with the dog around wood or the reservoir is a must.

An ideal venue for family reunions and corporate lunches in private reserved areas in the lounge or try our unique slow roast pork cooked in the range in the bar or even a barbecue in summer.

A firm favourite with walkers and locals looking for something a little bit special. A real hidden gem this one.
