Sir Robert Peel  

Named after the founding father of the modern police force who was born in the town, this pub is a regular haunt for those seeking out good guest beers. Usually five real ales available plus four ciders and a selection of continental bottled beers. CAMRA discount here - 10p/pint, 5p/half.

Unfortunately that is all it does - beer. There is no food, no real fire and so on.

It is close to the railway station, so an easy stop off on the Birmingham to Nottingham/Derby route.

There is live music here at weekends.
