The Red Lion

They pride themselves on serving a wide selection of real ales and ciders. The beers on at the time were well kept and served direct from the cellar. They also serve up to 25 bottled ciders.

The pub is a traditional low ceiling and beam pub with a number of seating areas and two bars. The public bar is more robust, but still has charm and a warm welcome. While the salon bar has a small bar and a separate eating area that overlooks the bar. The saloon bar is all carpeted and seating is at tales for two or four people. There is a pew type seat in one corner. There is a fireplace here, but it is mainly for show.

Food is served both lunchtimes and evenings. It is a little on the pricey side, but it good food. Options are traditional and there is a vegetarian selection. Wednesday nights are curry nigh and Friday nights are steak and red wine nights.

For the summer, the patio garden is situated behind the pub, and is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. There's always a friendly atmosphere in the garden, or you can tuck yourself away in one of the nooks and crannies if you fancy a bit more privacy.

Unfortunately the pub does not offer good access for the disabled.
