The Anchor Inn
Found in the town centre opposite the White Swan, just a few minutes from the beach. The Anchor Inn is the oldest pub in town and has retained a lot of its original 17th century charm despite being altered over the years - the bar has been refurbished in a modern 'wine bar' style.
Children are welcome along with dogs. The pub has facilities for the disabled. Our burning log fire will keep you warm in the winter regardless of the weather.
Food is both traditional and full of seafood as this comes direct from the Swanage harbour. Food is served 11.30-3.30pm and 6-9pm Monday to Friday, 11.30-9pm Saturday and Sunday.
The inside is very light and there is a wooden floor and seating is at square tables and chairs. Usually there are two ales on the bar, though they are not that adventurous, at least they are real ale.
Also, there is free internet access here.
Music tends to take place on a Saturday night.
