Lamb

This pub - The Lamb - is situated in the tranquil village of Stoke Goldington on the Northamptonshire/Buckinghamshire border 4 miles north of the market town of Newport Pagnell. The Lamb is situated on the High St as you run through the village next to the village shop.

With a warm and inviting atmosphere once inside people are rarely disappointed. The bar is on one side serving a selection of fine real ales, beers and wine.

While the restaurant is on the opposite side offering a wide selection of traditional British cuisine - all home made.

We stopped off after a long journey and they were very friendly - they even had a Belgian beer available.

There is a changing guest ale alongside the Nethergate - all well kept. A cider is also available for those interested in the apple.

Food is good, though not served Tue & Sun evenings. A very friendly pub it has pub games as well - traditional Hood Skittles, darts, Petanq & giant Connect Four. The restaurant is 'no smoking' and set on one side of the bar and is separated from the public bar.

There is a large range of traditional and modern dishes to choose from plus seasonal specials on the boards. Book for Sunday lunch though. Vegetarian are also catered for.

Well worth a stop off.
