Ring o' Bells

To get here take the turning marked "St Columb Major" off the A30 and travel about 4 miles to the centre on St Columb.

This pub has lots of history. In 1435, two cottages were joined together and became the Ring o' Bells public house. It has been a pub ever since.

The Ring o' Bells has three bars and a restaurant which belies its external appearance with a small frontage. The front bar is aimed at the younger generation of customers, there is a Jukebox as well. The snug bar is the home of the guest beers, the legendary Sharp's Own and Sharp's Coaster. The lounge bar is where they hold the quiz night (Tuesday).

The Ring o' Bells serves bar meals seven days a week in the Front Bar, Snug Bar, and Lounge Bar. It also serves them in the Beer Garden and Restaurant. The menu has items from soup of the day, beef sandwiches, ham & salad baguettes, to a ploughman's lunch (Cheese), a spicy bean burger. it also does pizzas, chips and childrens meals. For those of you who like a heavier meal there is an 8oz Peppered Sirloin Steak, a 14oz T-Bone Steak, plus curry, balti, you name it, its here. This is supported by a fine vegetarian menu.

The Ring o' Bells also has the widest range of real ales in St. Columb, including a couple of Sharps and a guest beer each week. Apparently one of the Ring o' Bells regulars is Dick Twinney, the Wildlife and Countryside Artist.

For the summer, there is a beer garden.
