Old Bull and Butcher  

This pub is situated just up the road from the old Peugeot factory. At lunchtimes it would be busy with staff. When the factory shuts in 2007, this pub could be empty.

At the moment it is a large country free house with two rooms - the main room is the tile and wood floored bar area where yuo will see the three guest beer handpumps. All beers were well served - a Smiles and two others on this visit. The lounge leads to a large no-smoking conservatory. Seating in the pub is traditional tables and chairs but are comfortable. There is a sports TV by the bar. Outside for the summer there is a large garden with children's play area and picnic tables with brollies. If you are visiting Ryton Gardens, you are not far from the Old Bull and Butcher.
