The best pub in Ripon to my knowledge. A good old fashioned boozer with a real fire for winter comfort. The rest of the time you can sit in plus surroundings or red velvet seats and stools. the walls are covered with pictures and bits. The bar area serves up to three guest ales plus those above. A second bar area serves a room with wooden floor. No food or accommodation here which is a pity but the landlords want to keep it much as it has been for the last 50 years. Well worth stopping off at.
