The Masons Arms

The Mason's Arms was built in the early twentieth century on the site of an earlier thatched beer house understood to date from 1760.

At the beginning of the twentieth century the pub was owned by Allsop's Brewery; it transferred to Hall's, and is now a free house. It brews its own beer - The Old Bog Brewery - and holds the Headington Beer Festival each September. Unfortunately the brewery beers are not always on, but there is a selection of 5 ales plus some bottles of Belgian beer.

No food is served here.

Darts a speciality.

The inside is a 'U' shape round the bar with seating along the walls. There is not a lot of seating here, but in the summer there is a large beer garden. Access for the wheelchair users is not possible.

Worth seeking out.
