Rose and Crown

The Rose & Crown is an attractive country inn with en suite accommodation good views across Romney Marsh and a large safe pretty garden (awarded Marsh in Bloom Winner 1999 and 2000). Conveniently situated for exploring the Cinque Ports (Rye, New Romney, Hythe, Deal and Sandwich) or travelling to Continental Europe (Eurotunnel 14 miles, Dover 25 miles). The Rose & Crown has regular quiz nights and holds an open house fun quiz on one Saturday each month, in addition to being in the Pentanque league. Guests come from all over the world and one thing they appreciate is the easy access from Aylesbury to other parts of the country. The pub is only a few yards from the award winning Buckinghamshire County Museum and is within easy reach of both bus and rail stations. Home-cooked food served lunchtimes and evenings 7 days a week, children always welcome. There is a good selection of cask beers with current regulars Highgate Mild, Green King IPA, Abbot Ale, Fullers London Pride, plus guest beers and the popular local Biddenden cider. Accommodation is at ground-level, offering easy access for the disabled, 9 rooms in all, 5 en-suite. There is a 10% discount for stay of three nights or more.
