A good old fashioned pub that has had a face lift recently, plus it must the only pub to boast that all its staff are CAMRA members? Is there a policy I wonder. The Coach and Horses is mainly a food (Sunday lunch £6.95) pub - which it does well 12-2 and 6-10. Good portions are served up by the pleasant and keen staff. The real ales are served in oversized glasses for full measures. The permanent ales are not much to write home about, but the changing guest ales on at the time were Brains SA and McGuinness Feather Plucker Mild. In the summer enjoy your ale in the large beer garden. Not a good idea, but happy hour is 5-7 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. No accommodation.
