The Crown Inn

A 17th century inn, the crown is actually part of a working farm. The cobbled outside leads the visitor to the front door where upon entering you can see the dartboard to the right.

Seating is mostly padded benches but there are chairs and stools around low tables. There are two more rooms both with low beamed ceilings and exposed brick work. On the walls are hung a few prints of the local Peover area and horse brasses.

The food is good and wholesome and it is well patronised by diners in the evening. Food is served every day 12-2 and 6.30-9.15 (12-7 Sundays).

The beer choice is good with changing guests such as Weetwood Old Dog Bitter and Cheshire Mild.

For the summer there is a beer garden and a warm welcome in the winter keeps out the cold.

If you like gooseberries, then come in the summer for the annual competition, usually held on the last Sunday in July.

For those who don't wish to drive you get the bus out here but only on Friday and Saturday evenings.
