The Red Lion

A pretty country pub with a beer garden out front and side. Just off the A51, this is an attractive pub with a central bar on which you can find Worthington's and Marston's Pedigree and Bank's Bitter. The seating has been altered from floral backed chairs and dark wooden tables to a more upmarket Bistro feel. There are still nooks and crannies, allowing for that intimate feeling. Food is served to match the bistro style and these are homemade not from a packet. Prices are reasonable too. Sometimes closed on Sunday afternoon, though just knock on the door and you'll get served. Large car park to rear. Access for the disabled is up a step.

Comments

The Red Lion has now been updated. It still holds it's county pub feel but has been up dated to a modern bistro without spoiling its original features. The food has been up graded to 'Posh Pub Grub' offering home made meals to a high standard at a reasonable price. They still hold a good selection of beer and wines.
