The Harvester
The Harvester has been owned and run since 1984 by the Mills family. This country pub sits on the edge of the village square in the village of Long Itchington in the heart of rural Warwickshire.
The Harvester is split into three rooms, the first is the main bar. This is an L-shaped room offering the option of sitting at the bar or one of the good sized tables around the room.
The second room is smaller in size with WI-FI hotspot and has a pool table and juke box. The restaurant is the third of the rooms and offers the chance for diners to enjoy their food in quiet surroundings.
With the restaurant only having places set for 28 guests it has plenty of space and a relaxed air about it.
Despite the name of this pub, you are actually in a free house which sources its beers (and food) from far and wide as well as locally.
They have been in the Good Beer Guide for the last 21 years, which is no mean feat. If you haven’t been there yet, then get a move on as it was voted the third best pub in Britain for 2007.
The only lagers they have are Budvar and Budvar Dark, so you wont find the football crowd in there or the rowdy ‘lads’ and ‘laddettes’.
The Harvester team try to source all their perishable food locally so that it remains totally fresh.
No accommodation here.
All in all a great pub to visit.
