The Pembury Tavern  

The Pembury has 16 handpumps and on a weekend you can usually find most of them working. They also serve German and Belgian beers in bottles and wine and whisky.

Open all day, every day, food is served here 12-3 and 6-9 except Sundays when it is 12-9. Food is a traditional pub food and is reasonably priced for London. Pizza 12-10pm daily.

Children are allowed in until 8pm as are dogs at all times as long as they are kept on a leash - the dogs that is.

Another good thing is free wi-fi.

The Pembury Tavern was built in the mid 19th Century but closed in the late 1990s after a fire. After a major refurbishment it opened to much acclaim with its beer selection.

A selection of card and board games are available at the bar - just ask - and we have Bar Billiards and Pool tables.

Seating is at a mixture of tables and there is plenty of room to move about.

Toilets are downstairs.

Close to Hackney Downs Station - exit via platform 1 for quickest access.
