Greenwich Union

This is a narrow pub come bar that serves only beers from the Meantime brewery. These are all lagers except for one, the Blonde brewed by Roosters as the house beer, and actually are well worth seeking out.

Try some samples first if you are not sure, they are happy to offer them to you.

The bar is a small area against one wall with an overhang, so you have to bend to be seen if you are tall. The floors are all dark wood with some light wood tables and chairs, there is also a standing area at the front of the pub. Seating to the rear is comfortable, some comfy chairs, some benches, some chairs, etc.

As you go towards the small beer garden (and we mean small patio) there is an area that has been opened up by the addition of a high glass roof which brings a whole new experience to pub life.

In the summer this room is very nice indeed. I can see the opposite in rain or winter, but don't mind me. The decor is very modern, as is the menu which is very Mediterranean.

Prices for food are typical of London, but the quality of food is good.

Well worth seeking out and not too far from the Docklands Light Railway and train stations.

No accommodation here.
