The Monro  

The pub interior is a treat for the eye, warm colours, hand-painted wall murals, gilt mirrors and blackboards with specials etc.

Perfect quality beer and the right temperature. Spoke to owner and he said since they introduced Real Ale which was a real struggle at first it now outsells the keg smooth bitter!

Amazing food with excellent service. We've tried everything! We've paid 3 times as much in Liverpool's top restaurants and they
weren't a patch on this. They've been recommended by GQ, The Observer and are in the Which Good Pub Guide. They're justifiably proud and the cost is buttons! Don't be fooled by the low prices it's memorable food with service to match. They say they're Liverpool's first real Gastropub and I think they're right! Food times: Monday-Friday 12.00pm-2.30pm & 5.00pm-10.00pm, Saturday & Sundays food served ALL DAY.

The staff were brilliant, earnest and dedicated - can't put my finger on these people weren't just doing their job they were all on a mission of passionate hospitality - very very rare to find.

The worst: Gets busy but most good places do!
