Lamb Inn  

The Lamb Inn is the first tenanted Pub of W.J. King and Co. (Brewers). It has been extensively renovated and opened again in March 2003, serving King & Co. real ales. The most noticeable part of the renovation is the refurbished Conservatory area, which provides excellent additional seating for those wanting a quieter, absolutely non-smoking atmosphere. Whilst the conservatory is very much part of the pub, it can also be made ‘private' for pre-booked functions. The main area of the pub also has a non-smoking section. The seating is traditional in a single bar - ahead on entry - that has pillars and was probably more than one room previously. The low ceiling adds to the atmosphere. All the food is homemade and freshly prepared; part of the menu is fresh fish, which is delivered daily. There is an extensive ‘specials' board, as well as a bar menu. However, the good food is let down by the lack of vegetarian choice. Prices are commensurate with the area being on the edge of the M23 which allows easy access to London offices.
