The Sun Inn  

This 17th century inn is good place to stay and drink in. It is well situated for the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.

It usually serves four real ales from its comfortable bar.

Food (sourced locally as much as possible) is served here at both lunchtimes (12-2.30pm Tuesday to Sunday) and the evenings (7-9pm Monday to Sunday) in both the bar and restaurant. Menus can be downloaded from their website and contain some interesting options like Wild Boar terrine and Parmesan fishcakes.

Open from 10am until 11pm daily (alcoholic beverages from 11am-11pm).

You can also stay here as they have five star accommodation from around £45 per person.
