The Plough Inn

This is a quaint village pub that has a railway line close by on to the railway line.

Not far from Lichfield or the picturesque Whittington.

Part ivy covered there is seating outside for summer and the canal has barges tied up from visitors after a good pint.

The Plough carries the usual forgettable beers but also a guest from Exmoor and this time is was Fox.

Very pleasant inside with an open fire and the toilets are good. Dogs welcome.

Occasional live music.

Food is served lunch and evening - Monday to Saturday 12-3pm & 5.30-9pm, Sunday lunches 12-6pm - and is traditional fayre at reasonable prices.

Worth a stop over on those lazy summer days - especially as it is on a cycle route around Lichfield.

No accommodation here.
