The Red Lion

The Red Lion Inn is a free house pub/restaurant with bed & breakfast accommodation. It's been a pub in the conservation village of Hinxton, Cambridgeshire since the 16th Century.

The pub has been added to over the years, but the bar with green chesterfield leather sofas and well-stoked fire, is part of the Grade II listed building. The rest has been built in keeping with the original from new oak and of course is more airy and spacious with its dining room in a sympathetic style.

For the summer there is a walled garden with tables & a wysteria-clad arbour & patio with parasols. It also has a dovecote.

B&B is available here in eight recently built rooms.

They serve food here of course and the menu is a mix of contemporary and traditional dishes cooked to order using fresh local produce.
