King's Arms

This pub was built in the 1700s but wasn't a pub until the mid 1800s. The pub is owned by Clark's brewery and of course serves their beers mainly. However, they also serve the ubiquitous Taylor's Landlord.

There are three panelled rooms, each with its own style and sensibility. One is carpeted and one has stone flag flooring. For the winter there are real fires to warm you. The seating is at small tables with stools and bench seating around the walls. The pub is not large, so you need to be patient when trying to get near the bar to be served. that said, the staff are always on top of it, so there is no real wait. When you get the beers it is all worth it in any case as Clark's beers are very good.

Children are welcome and there is access for the disabled too.

Food is served here both lunch and evening and is wholesome and warming in winter and always filling.
