The Red Lion  

The Red Lion Inn is in one of the quaintest villages in Cumbria. It is situated close to Windermere, Keswick and Ambleside.

The building is traditional 15th century and is the oldest pub in Hawkshead.

They serve up to three local ales. Food is also served here between 12 & 2.30pm and 6 until 9pm. On Sundays food is served all day from 12 until 7pm.

There is a beer garden to the side for the summer months and a real fire to warm in winter.

It was noted that the pub was closed over New Year.
