The Anchor Inn

In recent years Everards have allowed their pubs to stock a guest beer and in some cases more than that. The Anchor does just that on a regular basis.

The pub itself is situated on the Coventry canal near bridge 29 and you can tie-up near by and enjoy a pint in the summer - or winter, if you are brave.

From the outside it has the appearance of a number of buildings being all coming together to make up the pub. It has a pleasant lounge bar which doubles up as a restaurant. The Anchor has become a bit of a destination pub for food and it is wise to book. There are three eating areas so there should be space despite serving over 2000 meals a week. If you like a carvery, then there is one here on Friday and Saturday evenings and all day Sunday (12-4). The food is good, better than usual 'pub grub'.

The Anchor is popular with children as it has a large play area.

It also is not bad for wheelchair access too, though there are no disabled toilets.

For the winter there is a real fire to keep those bones warm.

No accommodation here.
