The Halfway House  

The Halfway House offers a choice of 4 cask ales. The choice of Ales varies constantly, as one cask finishes it is replaced with another. The emphasis is always on Scottish Ales. One of the pumps is always reserved for a dark ale. Members of CAMRA are always afforded a 20p pint discount on displaying their membership card.

The pub is not far from the railway station (Waverley).

Food is served here and there are some traditional Scottish dishes available. Also see the specials board. Not much for vegetarians.

It's cosy inside and not spacious, but that adds to its ambience. It's also at the bottom of some steep steps, depending in which way you approach it.
