Cosy settles here right off the platform.

They serve eight real ales on pump plus 40-50 bottled world beers.

Food is served here Monday to Friday 12-2pm; Tuesday 5-9pm (Pie Night); Wednesday 5-9pm (spice night); Thurday 5-9pm; Saturday 10-3pm.

This pub has a real olde worlde feel to it with lots of memorabilia and 'clutter' that takes you back to a Victorian era. The bar is situated in the original railway station building on Platform 2. It is very Italianate in style with parts of Tudor style. Perhaps most unusual is the use of an Arabic Arch in each doorway and window and in the re-discovered archways which separate each room.

They have live music here.

This is one of four pubs that have a similar feel to them - The Sportsman in Huddersfield, The Cricketers Arms in Horbury and the Stalybridge Buffet Bar.
