The Dog and Hedgehog  

The Dog & Hedgehog re-opened in 2011 after three years closed. It has been taken over by Bill Reinking and Robert Marko and turned into a gastro pub serving up to three guest ales.

The name Dog & Hedgehog according to The History of sign-boards, 1866, was a very uncommon name, with the Dadlington Inn the only known listing. It was said to relate to the famous engraving of a “rough customer” of the 19th century with the dog giving the hedgehog a wide berth.

The food is served Monday to Saturday 12 to 2.30 and 5.30 to 9.30pm. On Sunday there is a traditional roast from 12 until 7pm.
