Welcoming ivy-clad pub that serves some good real ales. There is a beer garden for summer and the front is usually adorned with flowers a well. Inside is a split-level vault and a real fire. Good home-cooked food is available and Friday night is curry night, while Thursday is steak night - vegetarians take note. Also note that no food is served Mondays. Close to a railway station you can walk here, but just in case ther eis a carpark. Camping is allowed as is boules.
