The Castle Bar  

A beautiful 16th century building that has been renovated to become one of Cockermouth's Gastro pubs. You can dine over three floors overlooking the Market Place heart of the old town.

A terraced beer garden extends behind the building.

Food is served Monday to Friday 11.30am to 2pm and 5.30pm to 8.45pm, Saturdays 11.30am to 3pm and 5.30pm to 8.45pm, Sundays 12 to 3pm and 5.30pm to 8.45pm.

They have up to five ales on at any one time.
