The Horse and Jockey

A family-friendly local that is a Victorian gem. There are open fires Victorian tiling, Yorkshire stone floors, Persian rugs, and comfy furniture. Watch out for the low beams.

They serve up to six ales including their own brewed (Bootleg Brewing) on the premises plus a selection of Belgian ales.

Food is served here, all of which is locally sourced and seasonal. It is cooked to order and is reasonably priced. The menu is traditional and there are specials and a good selection for vegetarians and vegans. Sunday roast is available. Food offers are available, like 2-4-1.

There is background music here but it is not too intrusive. Live music occasionally.

There is a beer garden for the summer.

A function room is available for hire.

Not far from Chorlton station.
