The Queen's Head

The Queen's Head is a wonderful corner 'local' pub, enthusiastically run by 'Silent' Mike Collins. Mike's passion for good beer is reflected in the excellent quality of all eight cask ales he has on tap; Crouch Best and Brewer's Gold are always available, plus six ever-changing guest beers from craft, micro and regional brewers, including an always present mild and a stout/porter as well as beers rarely found in the area. This is the sort of brewery tap for the Crouch Vale brewery which owns it. The Queen is just 8 minutes walk from Chelmsford train station. The central bar with bare wood floor has stools at the bar, the rest has benches
and other seating. There is a fireplace for winter and patio area for summer. Food is served here at lunchtimes only, with good value and portions. Food is only available Monday to Saturday though. No accommodation here. Disabled access is possible.
