The Alfred

Built in the 1860s, this double-fronted terrace pub was the Truman's Brewery tap until the brewery closed in 1971. Now a Burton Bridge pub.

A central bar counter serves two rooms, each featuring wood partitions topped with leaded stained glass, the left-hand room (lounge) having a raised seating area. There is also a small snug to the rear, featuring some unusual barrel seats and submarine photographs/memorabilia.

Quiz night Sunday.

Music here Friday/Saturday.

Food is cobs and (only) a few traditional pub meals.

Children welcome.

Dogs welcome.

Beer garden for summer.
