Taken on by new people in February 2005, this is a real homely pub dating back to 1639, full oak beams and real fire with good old fashioned English food at a reasonable price and friendly bar staff. There is a large inglenook fireplace with a real fire and enough seating for all. Beers: Badger Beer, Champion, Tanglefoot, Greene King IPA. Food served 12 - 3 and 5 - 10:30 and is excellent. There is accommodation here - two comfortable self-catering units, both with en-suite double bedrooms.?Recently changed owners and had a refurbishment. Best thing about the Five Bells is its friendly atmosphere. Worth a Diversion.
