Bulls Head
The Bulls Head is on the main road through Brinklow on a bend. It is close to the road and the entrance to the car park is narrow, so approach it slowly.
The large car park at the rear has a children's play area and a games room for them - it is really child friendly. There is also a beer garden here, though if you don't have/like children, it's perhaps not for you in the summer.
The pub itself is multi-level and differentiated by banisters. The food is traditional pub food with steaks and gammon. There is a page of vegetarian choices, but they are the usual suspects unfortunately. The prices are not that keen either, but this is predominantly a food pub and seems to do the business.
Seating is at padded bench-style seating around the wall and tables and chairs. Furniture is of the dark wood variety on a dark carpet which either adds to the ambience or feels oppressive, depending on your point of view. Personally it doesn't bother me.
They tend to serve a couple of real ales from the regional brewers plus a guest from the smaller brewers - this time from Shugborough Brewery (Titanic). It was well kept and served and was not too expensive, though if I had to say, I would like the prices to be a little keener all round in the pub as it is not in a totally 'posh' area. Though having said that Brinklow is set in beautiful countryside a mile or so from the motorway. You can get to it from junction 2 of the M6.
