The Red Lion is a Charles Wells pub and so has a selection of their beers on (discount Monday), though it also has the occasional guest as well. The Lion is also well known for its regular live bands, pool table and dart board. The lounge bar has a real fire which warms the room in winter. Seating is at a mixture of tables, chairs and padded settles on a dark carpet. Food is served lunchtimes 12-2 and 6.30-9pm Monday to Saturday (no food Saturday evening or Sunday). Food is traditional pub food and the prices are competitive around ?6.50 a portion. There is accommodation here, though it gets booked early for Silverstone week, otherwise it is clean and comfortable en-suite - ring for prices. The Lion has a large function room for 30-60 people depending on the nature of the function, which can be booked. They also have a big screen for live sporting events.
