Royal Oak Inn  

The Royal Oak is a small family run Inn with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and enjoys a busy life all year round.

Situated in the very heart of Bowness on Windermere. The Royal Oak is literally a stones throw from the Bowness bay piers, Lake Windermere and only a few minutes walk from the many traditional craft and gift shops.

Most rooms have en-suite facilities but all have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television and of course…a bed.

The pub consists of a lounge area, bar area, dining room and a games area complete with a pool table and dart board.

There is a selection of traditional ales including local specialities Hawkshead Bitter, Coniston Bluebird and a variety of guest ales which are changed regularly.

The Royal Oak is open from 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 12 noon to 10.30pm on Sundays.

Food is served daily between 11am and 9.30pm. All food is freshly on the premises, using only the best local ingredients. They offer a wide range of excellent grilled steaks, home cooked daily specials, and a wide range of wine and real ales to complement your meal.
