Goat and Tricycle  

This is perhaps the best pub in Bournemouth and so underrated that you will definitely get a good drink here with elbow room and some decent food too at reasonable prices for the area.

There's a warm and friendly atmosphere at the excellent local pub. Set a little away from the main attractions but well worth tracking down, especially if you're in the mood for some good pub grubs.

Check out the great collection of hats while you're there. Inside you are likely to find 10 hand pumps working at any time (though there may be more on soon). These include the full Wadworth's range and guests. All are well served with or without the sparkler, though you might need to occasionally ask for a top up. The Goat no longer serves Country Wines - as there were few requests.

Access is good for the disabled person. The back bar has been opened out and the the bar top has been cut back to get an extra table in (the photo left is before this). There are bare floors up here and a good view of the beer garden outside. This garden has a rather ornate trellis and awning for rain protection. Seating is at round picnic tables and there is a garden bench or two dotted about. Check out the water feature.

Food is served at Monday to Sunday 12-9pm and is all home cooked. Specials vary in style and can be Mexican or traditional, but there are always a good selection for all the family, including Sunday roast and senior citizens offers.

Despite being situated in the middle of hotel land on the western edge of the centre, it is not overly busy most times, yet does a brisk trade in food and beer. We recommend you stop here at any time of the year to ample the excellent hospitality.
