The City Tavern  

A Victorian pub surrounded by new buildings, it has gone from strength to strength with a new landlord who knows about real ales.

You can find Davenports ales on here plus some guests, up to nine in all. They also do four continental lagers.

While there is a 'hotpot' range served 12-3pm, you can bring your own like you can to the Wellington. Every Thursday there is a curry club 5-9pm.
