Sir Henry Newbolt

This is another Wetherspoons conversion from an old shop at the top of the High Street, in fact at the opposite end from the White Rose.

It has the usual seating styles, though there is no raised area here. There are some large booths that seat about 10 people, which you can either see as intimate or a bit like sharing your love with everyone.

The decor celebrates local heroes as always and could be a little more exciting, as the pub lacks atmosphere (not true of other Wetherspoon pubs).

However, the beer is always good, though bar staff could do with a bit of training about how to serve real ale. On at the time was a beer from Clarke's and one from Exmoor.

The food is from the ubiquitous menu, though always served well and keenly priced, especially here in Bilston.

Access for the disabled is good and there is a no smoking area.

No accommodation here.
