Recently undergone refurbishment an given a new name (Formerly known as Master Spearpoint Hotel). It's part of the Fullers chain, you can get a good beer here and a bed, though its not much to look at really and it's a bit impersonal. It has 34 all en-suite rooms. A restaurant and bar plus conference and meeting facilities. The lounge area is spacious though and there are comfy chairs all about.
