The Barrack Hotel  

Apperknowle is situated between Eckington and Dronfield.

The Barrack is a genuine free house with a strong emphasis on local brews. Currently, there are four handpumps (this may become five in due course) and three of these are for the regular beers – Abbeydale Moonshine, Kelham Island Pale Rider and Tetley Bitter. The fourth is kept very busy dispensing a rotating guest beer.

Home-cooked food is also available, lunchtime meals are restricted to Saturday and Sunday and evening meals are available until 8pm, Tuesday to Saturday (book for Saturday). The pub enjoys spectacular views across the Drone valley towards Dronfield.
