The Mill Inn

The historic building dates back to the 16th Century and was originally in the heart of the town. Over the past four centuries the changing seascape and the natural coastal erosion has seen parts of the town lost to the sea and now the Mill Inn stands proudly directly opposite the beach front. With plenty of old world charm, its beams and leaded windows take you back to the days when this was once the haunt of local smugglers, who plied their trade the length of the Heritage Coast.

At The Mill Dennis & Sue Peel ensure you savour the atmosphere of Aldeburgh in their timbered bar with the famous Adnams ale, as well as a large range of other beers, wines and spirits.

The home cooked food is varied and deliciously satisfies a good appetite sharpened by East Coast sea air. The Mill Inn specialise in fresh local fish and often do food theme nights - Indian, Chinese, etc - all cooked and prepared by the landlord.

Their is accommodation here for those that wish to enjoy a longer stay. Food is served between 12-2.30pm and 7-9.30pm. E-mail:.
