The "Famous"
Angel| (101 Bermondsey Wall East,
Rotherhithe, London, SE16). Stunning, for
a London Pub this place is IT right alongside the Thames in the prettiest place
in central London with a Panoramic view of Tower bridge and masses of patio to
lounge and sip ale. The upstairs restaurant is something else. Do all waiters in
London wear Tails and Dickies? Oh and Yeah ... Tablecloths too! Brilliant bar
meals, more than generous and the Restaurant menu looked great if a little
pricey , but hey, a score every time with the candles, view and ambience. Food
is served all day. Beer is Courage Directors and Wadworth 6X, both well kept
with excellent palate. The pub has ghosts and that feel of quality but in a
relaxed way. No accommodation here. The best about The Angel: The View and the
6X, worst: Parking... London is the pits. (Adrian Allen)
