A pub serving 8 real ales plus foreign bottled beers. It's so cheap here you can get Taylor's Landlord for £1.64 a pint and Barnsley bitter @ £1.15 a pint. They also have beers from Bazen's Brewery, Salford's newest brewer. Refurbished in 2001 it is well worth a visit and is not far from Salford station in an area undergoing regeneration. The pub itself has an impressive exterior which gives you an impression of its size. There is a single bar through the large porch, though a serving hatch to the right deals with the second seating room which has click me no bar of its own. On entering there is a seating room with pinball machine and an intricate ceiling rose (see picture). The seating here is a combination of benches around the edge of the room and stools at round wood and black metal tables. It can be rather dark in here of an evening, but the atmosphere is more relaxed than the bar. The bar is to the right and is curved with a wooden overhang. The eight guest beers are listed on the blackboard in  front of the barclick me and are all keenly priced. All beers were served to perfection and tasted great. The staff appeared knowledgeable and willing to remove sparklers. Seating here is at a few round tables away from the bar. On the walls you will see art from local artists using the Kings Arms as a gallery. The pub decor itself is a little in need of refurbishment, but this adds to the local feel. They also serve food and do plenty of choice for the vegetarian - yummy! Access for the disabled is possible to the bar and seating area, but is not at present possible to the toilets. No accommodation here.

Additional Notes: Please be aware that the Bridgewater brewery has been closed for some months. You will probably find that a Phoenix beer has replaced the Bridgewater offering. (The ex Bridgewater brewer now works for Phoenix, Heywood). You may also wish to include "The Crescent" as another excellent real ale pub in Salford - up to 10 hand pumped ales available all week.
The brewer responsible for Bridgewater Ales is now brewing again as Bazen's Brewery. You will find his very tasty beer in the Kings Arms. (2002)
