The Ship Inn (High Street, Somerset) (01643) 862 507. The Ship Inn, situated on the A39 west of Minehead is one of the oldest inns in the locality, with roaring log fires in the winter and a sunny beer garden in the summer months. Situated within the boundary of the Exmoor National Park it has wonderful views of the surrounding area with a nature trail close by leading to Dunkery Hill. Accommodation consists of eleven centrally heated bedrooms, mostly en-suite, all with colour television and tea making facilities. Bar snacks are served daily, while the candlelit restaurant provides a more formal setting. Pets are most welcome, and ample private car parking is available. Bed and Breakfast from £19.50 per person.
